Language is a virus … William Burroughs

Imagine if we could treat information as a superorganism and watch it grow and develop in real time, like a living thing.

Imagine a web search with billions of results - that’s a long list to click through! And that’s where Big Forest comes in. With a simple click our app switches from data presented in text form to a graphical image, typically a tree structure. So the web search we imagined would be presented as a growing tree with billions of leaves organized into distinct branches.

So what? So we can see outliers, things we never would have found by clicking through millions of pages, things we don’t know we don’t know. Importantly we can see how things are developing in real time, whether to make better predictions, identify emerging trends or just to see how many degrees of separation between me and my favorite celebrity.

Our current project is a full stack build, a minimum viable product for publication, so watch this space. In the meantime our Twitter prototype remains the most popular although it is scaled down and lacks many functions. Scroll down to check it out.
